Compare the costs of agencies, SDRs, ads and Distrarc, with published benchmarks and the assumptions behind each number.
There are many reasonable ways to find early customers, and the right one depends on your product, your market and how much time you have. These pages explain how Distrarc differs from the common alternatives, and when an alternative is the better choice. We describe approaches in general terms rather than making claims about specific vendors.
- Distrarc vs cold emailContacting people from a list versus answering people who asked a question in public.
- Distrarc vs AI SDR toolsAutomated outbound messaging versus drafts you review and post yourself.
- Distrarc vs social listening toolsMonitoring mentions of a brand or keyword versus finding people with a problem your product solves.
- Distrarc vs searching communities by handThe same founder-led approach, with the repetitive searching and first drafts done for you.
What Distrarc does, in one paragraph
You give Distrarc your product URL. It reads the site, describes who the product is for, and searches public sources such as Hacker News, Reddit, Stack Overflow, GitHub and Bluesky (depending on your product and what is available) for conversations where someone is asking for what you build. Each result links to the original post, with its date and the reason it fits. Distrarc can draft a reply, which you review, edit and post yourself. Nothing public, external or paid happens without your approval.
At a glance

| Cold email | You, to a contact from a list | You or your sending tool |
| AI SDR tools | The tool, to prospects it selects | Usually the tool, often automatically |
| Social listening | Anyone mentioning a tracked keyword | You, if you choose to respond |
| Searching by hand | A person asking in public | You |
| Distrarc | A person asking in public | You, after reviewing a draft |
